Then you think now that the married stuff is taken care of they will stop... but no....

Nope, I'm single and ready to mingle just ignore the wedding ring on my finger...

Yes, I have a dozen at home...

Q: "How old are you?"

Oh sweet 16...

Q: "When do you plan to have kids?"

I will inform you as soon as I find out....

Hawaii trip was awesome! Out of the 8 islands we went to Oahu..

a bad knee, crazy work & a car accident later....

Me getting old .. how else would you explain the horrible pain and sore muscles around my knees (which according to the physical therapist is due to too much running/stair master hence no more running (exercising) for some time hence me getting fat :( )..I'm sure N must be singing "main kya karu raam mujhe buddhe mil gayee...." that's probably not the only reason why he would be singing that song, work has been so crazy lately that all I manage to do lately is go to work, come home and sleep, get up the next morning and go to do more work! In admist of all this, N had a horrible car accident...thank god he is safe...the car on the other hand is not doing too well (it was only 6 months old and we are not sure if it will survive).
So you see how bad things have been around here...but like they say...there is sunshine at the end of the tunnel and that sunshine is awaiting us (didn't I tell you...we are going to Hawaii!)

Babies and Baby Showers

No not mine! Lately it seems like everyone is either pregnant or has just had a baby. And the only question everyone has for me is ' are you planning?'
Was at a baby shower last weekend and ended up playing all those funny games. There was this one game where they had 6 diapers and we had to open them up and guess what was the smell. At first we were hesitant but quickly learned that they all had some kind of smell that related to a food item (but definitely didn't look like one!). It was fun and N won the prize for that game :) We played several other games too, like how well do you know the parents, guess mom's tummy size etc.

Congratulations to all the soon-to-be moms and dads! Best of luck as you figure out how to put together and use all the new baby gadgets you amassed during your shower(s).

Movies, Trips and TV

In case you have been wondering what is keeping me so busy....

Saw a couple of new bollywood movies, Love Aaj Kal, Kaminey, New York... I have to admit I must have killed a lot of brain cells. Among them I have to say New York was good. I don't want to spoil it for you so just rent it and watch it!

Also saw a couple of hollywood movies and I must say Inglourious Basterds was a good one! It's the first time I actually liked a war movie, actually it's the first time I saw a war movie with comedy blended in so well :) who doesn't like to laugh... although I must admit at times I had to cover my eyes as I couldn't stand those gruesome scenes but overall it was great! You must watch this one!

Took a couple of day trips around home, San Juan Islands, Olympic National Park and Leavenworth...all were great fun! I will post pics soon!

I have also started watching the tv show 'LOST', I know I am 5 season's behind but I am getting addicted and will catch up soon!

I always thought the months of the year were named 'wrong'. According to me September should be the 7th month because of 'Sept' , October should be the 8th month because of 'Oct' , November should be the 9th month because of 'No' and December should be the 10th month because of 'Dec'.

But the real fact is that August was named to honor Augustus (Augustus Caesar, the great nephew of Julius Caesar). Augustus wanted as many days as Julius Caesar's July and that is why August has 31 days as well (both the extra days were taken from February). And why does August come after July? Because that is when Cleopatra died. Before Augustus renamed August, it was called Sextilis in Latin, since it was the sixth month in the Roman calendar which started in March.
